The idea for Metal Lavender was born in the distilleries of Provence, a setting of metal and concrete whose light and volumes left a lasting mark on Aurélien Guichard. Bergamot sharpens a fresh, vibrant lavender, stripped of all nostalgia; patchouli and cashmere wood temper its metallic brightness with a soft, enveloping base, urban and elegant.

The idea for Metal Lavender came to me in the distilleries of Provence: an almost brutalist setting of metal and concrete, whose light, volumes and sounds left a lasting mark on me.

Matiere Premiere is a French perfumery house founded by perfumer Aurélien Guichard, whose vision is based on a simple idea: to reveal the power and singularity of one natural ingredient at a time.
