Discover our shipping terms for your luxury fragrance orders. Whether you are in France, Europe, or internationally, we offer reliable, carefully handled, and fully trackable deliveries via Colissimo and FedEx.

Shipment origin: all orders are shipped from France.

Order Delivery

Parcels are generally dispatched within 48 business hours (Monday to Friday) after payment is received, outside of peak periods. Shipments are sent via "tracked Colissimo with signature" for all destinations. Depending on the destination, a FedEx option may also be available. Regardless of the delivery method, you will receive a tracking link as soon as your parcel is on its way.

Our mission: to offer you a delivery experience as refined as it is reliable and swift.

Shipping costs include packaging, handling, and postage costs. They may include a fixed portion and a variable portion depending on the price or weight of your order. We recommend grouping your items into a single order, as we are unable to merge separate orders: shipping costs will apply to each one. All parcels are oversized and carefully protected. The risk of loss or damage is transferred to the customer at the time the parcel is handed over to the carrier, in accordance with applicable provisions.

Delivery timeframes are indicative and expressed in business days. We cannot guarantee strict adherence to these estimates.

International Deliveries and Customs Duties (Incoterm DAP)

All our international shipments are made under Incoterm DAP (Delivered At Place). This means we ensure delivery to your address, but any customs duties, local taxes, administrative fees, and clearance charges that may be required at import remain the responsibility of the recipient.

These charges are not included in our prices or in the displayed shipping rates. They may be collected by customs authorities and/or the carrier before delivery or upon receipt. Please note: certain territories sometimes associated with Europe may be treated as imports (VAT/customs) depending on their status.

Indicative Import Thresholds (by destination)

Import rules vary by country and are subject to change. The thresholds below are provided for information purposes only: customs authorities and/or the carrier may apply duties, taxes, and administrative fees based on the declared value, nature of the products, country, and shipping method (postal or express).

1) European Union (intra-EU deliveries)

For deliveries within the European Union, there are in principle no customs duties upon arrival.
⚠️ Some territories listed on this page may fall outside the VAT/customs union scope and be treated as imports, with taxes/fees upon arrival (e.g. Guernsey, Jersey, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Åland Islands, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Svalbard and Jan Mayen).

Overseas Departments and Territories (DOM-TOM)

Depending on the territory, local taxes (e.g. octroi de mer) and fees may apply upon arrival.

2) United Kingdom

  • ≤ £135 (per shipment): generally no customs duties; VAT is in principle collected at the time of purchase (with some exceptions, notably products subject to excise duties).
  • > £135: import duties and VAT may be charged.

3) United States

Following the suspension of the $800 de minimis threshold (Section 321) in effect since August 29, 2025, the US import rules have changed significantly:

Taxation from the first dollar: There is no longer a minimum threshold. Every parcel is now systematically taxed by US customs, regardless of its value.

End of the flat-rate tariff: Since March 1, 2026, taxes are calculated based on the actual value and category of your products (ad valorem taxation).

Shipment under DAP terms: Your order is shipped exclusive of taxes. As the importer, you will need to pay customs duties as well as administrative processing fees (brokerage fees) directly to the carrier (FedEx or Colissimo) before or upon delivery.

Note: These processing fees imposed by carriers are beyond our control and are mandatory to release your parcel from customs.

4) Canada (shipments from France)

For imports to Canada shipped from a country other than the United States and Mexico, the "small shipment" exemption is generally:

  • ≤ CAD 20: the shipment may be exempt from duties and taxes;
  • > CAD 20: duties and taxes may apply, depending on the nature of the products and the shipping method.

5) Switzerland & Liechtenstein

In Switzerland, import VAT is generally not collected when the calculated VAT is less than CHF 5. Beyond that, VAT and customs clearance fees may apply.

6) Norway (including associated territories where applicable)

Depending on the value and customs treatment, VAT may be charged at import, along with fees. For certain goods below a certain threshold, VAT may be collected at the time of purchase if the seller is registered under the applicable local scheme; otherwise, it is generally paid upon arrival.

7) Australia

For low-value shipments (often ≤ AUD 1,000), the local tax may be collected at the time of purchase in certain cases; beyond that, taxes and fees may be charged at import.

8) New Zealand

For low-value shipments (often ≤ NZD 1,000), the local tax may be collected at the time of purchase in certain cases; beyond that, taxes and fees may be charged at import.

9) Other international destinations (remaining countries listed on this page)

Beyond the cases above, many countries may apply taxes and/or duties from the first euro (with no simple, universal threshold). The carrier may also charge customs presentation fees.

As any applicable charges (duties/taxes/administrative fees) are beyond our control, they cannot constitute grounds for free cancellation after dispatch.

Refusal to Pay Customs Duties / Import Fees

Any customs duties, local taxes, and clearance charges required at import are the responsibility of the recipient.

Should the Consumer or recipient refuse to pay these amounts, the parcel may, in accordance with the carrier's rules and/or the competent authorities, be returned to the sender or abandoned / destroyed.

  • If the parcel is returned to Soleil d'Or: a refund may be issued upon receipt of the parcel, minus the initial shipping costs and any return shipping costs actually charged by the carrier.
  • If the parcel is destroyed, abandoned, or not returned to Soleil d'Or: no refund can be issued, as the goods have not been recovered. Any destruction or handling fees charged by the carrier and/or authorities shall remain the responsibility of the Consumer.

  • Delivery timeframes are indicative and may vary depending on the time of year or destination.
  • For certain destinations, Colissimo relies on a partner carrier/postal service for local distribution (e.g. Deutsche Post, Austrian Post, Poste Italiane, bpost, Post Luxembourg).
  • Tracking may display steps at the local partner's end and, depending on the country, a local tracking number may be assigned.
  • Delivery conditions (signature, letterbox, collection point) may vary according to local distribution rules and the situation at the time of delivery (e.g. recipient absent).
  • Some destinations may require additional inspections.
