Discover our shipping terms for your niche fragrance orders. Whether in France, across Europe or internationally, we offer reliable, carefully packed and fully trackable deliveries, via Colissimo or FedEx depending on the destination.
All orders are shipped from France. Parcels are prepared at the boutique, during its opening days and hours, usually within 1 to 2 business days of payment (excluding peak periods). The boutique is closed on Sundays and Mondays: orders placed on those days, or on a public holiday, are prepared from Tuesday (or the next opening day). As soon as your parcel ships, you receive a tracking link by e-mail.

Preparation & shipping
All shipments are insured and tracked. Shipping fees include packaging, handling and postage; they may comprise a fixed part and a variable part depending on weight or order value. We recommend grouping your items into a single order: we cannot merge two separate orders, and fees apply to each. All parcels are carefully cushioned and protected. The risk of loss or damage passes at the moment the parcel is handed over to the carrier, in accordance with applicable provisions.
Shipping fees are displayed automatically at checkout, based on cart contents and destination country. The times below are indicative, expressed in business days from shipping, excluding any customs checks.

Home delivery against signature, or to a pickup point where the option is available. Across Europe, shipping is free from €90 at a pickup point (from €120 to your door); to mainland France, from €49 at a pickup point (from €79 to your door).

For destinations outside the VAT territory of the European Union (Andorra, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, Middle East, Overseas territories, etc.), any import duties and taxes are added and remain payable by you, and customs clearance on arrival may extend the delivery time by several business days — see International deliveries & customs duties.

For certain destinations, Colissimo hands final delivery to the local postal network: bpost (Belgium), Deutsche Post (Germany), Post Luxembourg, Poste Italiane (Italy), Austrian Post (Austria), PostNL (Pays-Bas) et Correos (Espagne) Tracking may then show steps with that partner, or even a local tracking number.

Important: these fees cover transport only. As FedEx destinations are outside the European Union, import duties and taxes may apply and remain payable by you — see International deliveries & customs duties.
Times excluding customs: the times shown correspond to transport. For any destination outside the European Union — Colissimo and FedEx alike — customs clearance on arrival may add several business days, varying according to customs checks and how quickly the recipient pays the duties and taxes due. These times are inherent to the customs procedures of the destination country and are beyond the control of Soleil d'Or or the carrier.
International deliveries & customs duties (DAP)
All our international shipments are made under the DAP (Delivered At Place) Incoterm. We ensure delivery to the address provided, but any import duties, local taxes, handling fees and clearance charges required on import are the sole responsibility of the consumer or recipient, in addition to the order amount and shipping fees. These charges are their full responsibility, both for declaration and for payment to the competent authorities and bodies of their country.
These charges are not included in our prices or in the shipping rates displayed. They may be claimed by the customs authorities and/or the carrier before or at the time of delivery. Please note: some territories sometimes associated with Europe may be treated as imports (VAT/customs) depending on their status.
As these charges vary by destination country, we invite the consumer to check with their local customs authorities before ordering.
Customs clearance may extend the delivery time by several days, particularly if the duties and taxes are not paid promptly by the recipient. This additional time is inherent to the customs procedures of the destination country; it cannot give rise to any claim, refund of shipping fees or dispute.
Displayed estimates. For information purposes, the site may display in the cart, and repeat in confirmation emails, an estimate of import duties and taxes. This estimate is calculated from publicly available rates, thresholds and carrier handling fees, all of which may change without notice. It is provided for guidance only and is not contractually binding: only the customs authority of the destination country and the carrier determine the amounts actually due. Any difference between the displayed estimate and the sum claimed on import cannot give rise to a claim, a refund, or any payment by Le Soleil d'Or.
Placing the order constitutes acknowledgement and acceptance of the customs obligations applicable in the destination country. Import duties and charges do not constitute valid grounds for a dispute, chargeback or cancellation after shipping.
Soleil d'Or retains all customs documents and proof of shipment, which may be provided in the event of a dispute.
Indicative import thresholds
Import rules vary by country and may change. The thresholds below are given for information only: customs authorities and/or the carrier may apply duties, taxes and handling fees according to the declared value, the nature of the products, the country and the shipping method.
European Union: in principle, no customs duties on arrival for intra-EU deliveries. Note: certain territories (Andorra, Guernsey, Jersey, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Åland Islands, Faroe Islands, Greenland) may be outside the VAT / customs union scope and treated as imports, with taxes and fees on arrival.
Overseas territories (DOM-TOM): depending on the territory, local taxes (e.g. octroi de mer / dock dues) and fees may apply on arrival.
United Kingdom: orders are shipped from France under the DAP (Delivered At Place) Incoterm. The recipient is the importer: whatever the order value, including for shipments up to £135, import VAT (20%) and the carrier's handling fees may be claimed from the recipient before or at delivery. Above £135, customs duties may also apply. These amounts are not included in the displayed price and remain payable by the customer.
United States: since the suspension of the $800 exemption threshold (Section 321) on 29 August 2025, every parcel is now systematically taxed by US customs, whatever its value. Since 1 March 2026, taxes are calculated according to the actual value and product category (ad valorem taxation). Shipped DAP: as the importer, you will pay the customs duties and handling (brokerage) fees directly to the carrier before or at the time of delivery.
Canada (shipments from France): up to CAD 20, the shipment may be exempt; above that, duties and taxes may apply depending on the nature of the products and the transport method.
Switzerland & Liechtenstein: import VAT is generally not levied when the calculated VAT amount is below CHF 5; above that, VAT and clearance fees may apply.
Norway: depending on the value and customs treatment, VAT may be claimed on import, along with fees.
Australia & New Zealand: Le Soleil d'Or is not registered for local sales tax in these countries, so no tax is collected at the time of purchase. Above the applicable thresholds (often AUD / NZD 1,000), taxes and fees may be claimed from the recipient on import.
Other destinations: many countries apply taxes and/or duties from the first euro, with no simple, universal threshold. The carrier may also charge a customs presentation fee.
Customs: recipient's responsibility
Import duties, local taxes and clearance fees required on import are the sole responsibility of the consumer or recipient. They are their full responsibility, both for declaration and for payment to the competent authorities.
Should payment of these amounts be refused, no return can be arranged by Soleil d'Or. The parcel may, in accordance with the rules of the carrier and/or the competent authorities, be abandoned or destroyed. Destruction costs remain payable by the consumer and no refund can be issued.
Soleil d'Or retains all customs documents, proof of shipment and of delivery relating to each order, which may be provided to any competent body in the event of a dispute or chargeback procedure.
Returns & right of withdrawal
You have 14 days to notify us of a return. For hygiene reasons, only fragrances and cosmetics that are still sealed (unopened) can be taken back, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code. Return fees are €8 via Colissimo (from around €25 via FedEx outside Colissimo zones), deducted from your refund.
