Musicology was founded in 2019 in Paris by Fabien Boukobza, around an unprecedented narrative concept: create fragrances like perfumed melodies. The maison's particularity stems from a major creative collaboration: each composition is signed by Nathalie Lorson, master perfumer at Firmenich, behind some of the greatest contemporary perfumery hits. The names refer directly to musical titles (Fly Me To The Oud nods to Sinatra's Fly Me To The Moon, Cause I'm Happy to Pharrell Williams's Happy), in a dialogue between olfactive art and contemporary musical culture.
