Lalique is one of the world's most famous French crystal houses, founded in 1888 by René Lalique, a visionary master glassmaker who revolutionised the art of crystal in the early 20th century. The house extends its savoir-faire to haute parfumerie with fragrances in exceptional cut-crystal bottles that make each perfume a collectable work of art.

Who is behind the Lalique house?

Lalique is a French house founded in 1888 by René Lalique (1860-1945), an Art Nouveau master jeweller who became an Art Deco master glassmaker. His historic collaboration with François Coty from 1907 onwards revolutionised perfumery by creating precious bottles for accessible perfumes. The Wingen-sur-Moder manufacture in Alsace, opened in 1921, remains Lalique's only production site in the world. Since 2008, the house has been run by Swiss entrepreneur Silvio Denz.

What makes Lalique perfumes special?

The art of the crystal perfumer: each Lalique creation combines an exceptional fragrance with a crystal bottle made in the Alsace manufacture. The first eponymous perfume, Lalique de Lalique, was created in 1992 by Marie-Claude Lalique, René's granddaughter. The house offers its creations as eau de toilette, eau de parfum and absolu, with particular attention to bottles that are collected well beyond their olfactory content.
