Tangy rhubarb, bergamot and grapefruit electrify a dual lavender — a highly aromatic essential oil and an absolute with the coumarin notes of a plant dried for days in the sun. The heart reveals a tantalisingly soft amaretto accord, sketched by the candied accents of fir balsam. In the base, dark woods, ambroxan and tonka bean are enriched by a Javanese vetiver with smoky swirls — and a disquieting “hashish” accord.
