Annick Goutal Perfumes – The Author's Perfumery Since 1981

Annick Goutal was a pianist and model turned perfumer, who founded her house in Paris in 1981 after training in Grasse under Henri Sorsana — a pioneer of author's perfumery. She composed every fragrance as the story of an emotion or a memory, from Eau d'Hadrien to Petite Chérie, created for her daughter Camille. She died in 1999 aged 53, passing her vision on to Camille Goutal.

The French group Interparfums acquired the house in March 2025, buying the brand's intellectual property outright and bringing it back under French ownership. Founded in 1981 as Annick Goutal, it had been renamed Goutal Paris in the late 2010s by its previous owner Amorepacific, before recovering its original name. Eau d'Hadrien has been the icon of the house since 1981: an ode to Tuscan citrus — lemon, citron, grapefruit. Petite Chérie (pear, rose, vanilla) and Sables (immortelle, amber) complete Les Incontournables, alongside Eau d'Hadrien Mixte, its unisex version.

Camille Goutal, the founder's daughter, watches over the creative heritage of the house, long alongside perfumer Isabelle Doyen. Recent creations also call on noses such as Mathieu Nardin or Julie Massé, faithful to the author's spirit of 1981.
