Caron: a century of French haute parfumerie since 1904

A house founded by Ernest Daltroff in 1904

Caron is one of the oldest French haute parfumerie houses still in business, founded in Paris in 1904 by Ernest Daltroff, a brilliant self-taught perfumer. The house quickly made its name with its Baccarat bottles, icons of Art Deco refinement. Caron created Tabac Blond (1919), one of the first daring women's perfumes to embrace leather-tobacco notes, followed by Pour un Homme (1934), a pioneer of men's perfumery. More than a century of uninterrupted boldness, still visible in the fountain bottles of Caron's boutiques.
