Aliénor Massenet – Memo Paris Perfumer

Aliénor Massenet: leather in a land of travel

Portrait of a traveling perfumer

Aliénor Massenet works as a perfumer within the fragrance house Symrise. Devoted to noble materials and travel narratives, she shapes accords in which leather, flowers and spices each evoke a territory. Her work for Memo embodies this nomadic signature, strongly present in our selection.

Aliénor Massenet's creations at Soleil d'Or

At Memo, she composed the Cuirs Nomades line — Irish Leather, French Leather, African Leather and Italian Leather — as well as Quartier Latin, Eau de Memo and Inlé. She also created Éveil du Faune for Hellenist.

Leather, flowers and spices: the Massenet signature

Her compositions lean towards the oriental, aromatic and floral families. They readily feature leather, saffron and rose, between softness and character.

Who should wear an Aliénor Massenet perfume, and when?

Her wayfaring leathers suit anyone seeking an assertive sillage, by day or evening, in the oriental and floral registers. Lovers of this style will also appreciate the creations of Sophie Labbé and Alexandra Carlin.

How to choose your Aliénor Massenet perfume?

Aliénor Massenet at Soleil d'Or, a Lille perfumery since 1953

Founded in 1953 by Jeanne Muyllaert on Lille's Grand'Place, Soleil d'Or is an independent perfumery passed down through the generations. Hubert Maes (third generation) steered it towards niche perfumery; today his daughters Victorine and Apolline Maes (fourth generation) uphold this standard at 22 rue de la Clef, Lille (59800), with expert advice, guided trials and our olfactory families guide.
