Féminité du bois

Féminité du bois is a founding fragrance: launched in 1992, it was among the first to make cedar wood a resolutely feminine material. Reissued by Serge Lutens in 2009, it remains one of the pillars of the Collection noire.

Around a creamy, dry cedar wind a sun-ripened plum and peach, a veil of spices — cinnamon, clove, ginger — and a floral heart of violet, rose and orange blossom. The base, vanillic and musky, extends its woody softness.

Composed by Christopher Sheldrake and Pierre Bourdon under the direction of Serge Lutens, Féminité du bois is worn in every season — a classic whose elegance never dates.

SERGE LUTENS

Serge Lutens, born in 1942 in Lille, is a French artist of many talents: photographer, filmmaker, fashion architect and perfume creator. After early work in hairstyling and make-up, he collaborated with prestigious magazines such as Vogue. In 1980 he began a defining collaboration with Shiseido, shaping the brand's visual identity and launching iconic fragrances such as "Féminité du bois" in 1992. In 2000 he founded his own perfume house, Serge Lutens, offering unique, avant-garde olfactory creations. Deeply influenced by Marrakech, where he acquired a residence in 1974, he draws major inspiration from the city for his fragrances. Today, the Serge Lutens house is recognised for its artistic approach and its commitment to originality and quality.
