Created in 1992, Féminité du bois is one of Serge Lutens' founding fragrances — and among the first to celebrate wood as a feminine material. A sumptuous cedar, wrapped in ripe fruit and spices, that became an absolute classic of the Collection noire.

Cedar as a feminine material

Plum and peach open the composition on juicy, fruity flesh lifted with cinnamon. The heart blooms into a floral, spicy bouquet — powdery violet, rose, ylang-ylang and orange blossom, pricked with clove and ginger. The base finally reveals cedar in its full breadth, creamy and dry, softened with sandalwood, benzoin, vanilla and musk.

Serge Lutens, born in 1942 in Lille, is a French artist of many talents: photographer, filmmaker, fashion architect and perfume creator. After early work in hairstyling and make-up, he collaborated with prestigious magazines such as Vogue. In 1980 he began a defining collaboration with Shiseido, shaping the brand's visual identity and launching iconic fragrances such as "Féminité du bois" in 1992. In 2000 he founded his own perfume house, Serge Lutens, offering unique, avant-garde olfactory creations. Deeply influenced by Marrakech, where he acquired a residence in 1974, he draws major inspiration from the city for his fragrances. Today, the Serge Lutens house is recognised for its artistic approach and its commitment to originality and quality.

For destinations outside the European Union, our shipments are made under DAP (Delivered At Place): these timeframes do not include customs clearance, which depends on local authorities, and any customs duties and taxes remain payable by the recipient.

Returns: you have 14 days to notify us of a return. Only perfumes and cosmetics that are still sealed can be accepted, for hygiene reasons (article L221-28). The return costs €8 via Colissimo (from €25 via FedEx), deducted from your refund; you generate your label online from Return my order.
