Poivre noir

Poivre noir is a minimalist, uncompromising fragrance, straight and angular, placing Madagascan black pepper at the heart of a spicy woody. A creation of character from Serge Lutens' Collection noire.

Black pepper opens the composition, burning and vibrant; nutmeg warms the heart with a spicy sweetness; cedar signs the base, dry and coniferous. A spicy woody of absolute purity, austere and refined.

Composed by Christopher Sheldrake under the direction of Serge Lutens, Poivre noir is worn in autumn and winter, for a spicy, sober elegance.

SERGE LUTENS

Serge Lutens, born in 1942 in Lille, is a French artist of many talents: photographer, filmmaker, fashion architect and perfume creator. After early work in hairstyling and make-up, he collaborated with prestigious magazines such as Vogue. In 1980 he began a defining collaboration with Shiseido, shaping the brand's visual identity and launching iconic fragrances such as "Féminité du bois" in 1992. In 2000 he founded his own perfume house, Serge Lutens, offering unique, avant-garde olfactory creations. Deeply influenced by Marrakech, where he acquired a residence in 1974, he draws major inspiration from the city for his fragrances. Today, the Serge Lutens house is recognised for its artistic approach and its commitment to originality and quality.
