The breath of the wind

The opening is green and vibrant: clary sage, icy mint and lavender trace an aromatic draught. A powdery iris warms the heart. The base, dry and enveloping, blends Atlas cedar, patchouli and white musk — a clear, soothing trail, like the eye of the cyclone.

Serge Lutens, born in 1942 in Lille, is a French artist of many talents: photographer, filmmaker, fashion architect and perfume creator. After early work in hairstyling and make-up, he collaborated with prestigious magazines such as Vogue. In 1980 he began a defining collaboration with Shiseido, shaping the brand's visual identity and launching iconic fragrances such as "Féminité du bois" in 1992. In 2000 he founded his own perfume house, Serge Lutens, offering unique, avant-garde olfactory creations. Deeply influenced by Marrakech, where he acquired a residence in 1974, he draws major inspiration from the city for his fragrances. Today, the Serge Lutens house is recognised for its artistic approach and its commitment to originality and quality.
