L'histoire du Bataillon Sacré a fait écho en moi à celle des 300 Spartiates : la fraternité des armes, la fièvre des corps. J'ai cherché à traduire ce contraste du métal et de la chair. Une facette aldéhydée, presque tranchante, rappelle l'éclat des armures au crépuscule. Autour, la lavande et l'armoise évoquent la garrigue, réveillées d'un trait de bergamote. Puis la chair prend le dessus : des muscs amples, un santal lacté et une fève tonka ambrée, pour une signature héroïque autant que sensuelle. - Maurice Roucel
