« The story of the Sacred Band echoed for me the tale of the 300 Spartans: the brotherhood of arms, the fever of bodies. I sought to translate that contrast of metal and flesh. An aldehydic, almost cutting facet recalls the gleam of armour at dusk. Around it, lavender and mugwort evoke the garrigue, awakened by a stroke of bergamot. Then the flesh takes over: ample musks, a milky sandalwood and an ambered tonka bean, for a signature as heroic as it is sensual. »

La Nuit des 300 celebrates the intimacy of a heroic night, through a play of layered musks. Its top notes — ambrettolide musk, bergamot and mugwort — set down a velvety clarity.

The heart moves on to ambroxide musk, tonka bean and lavender, before a warm, sensual base of muscenone, sandalwood and patchouli.

Signed by Maurice Roucel, this eau de parfum curls around the skin like a breath, subtle and incandescent.
