Éveil du Faune by Hellenist (15 and 100 ml) is a leathery, woody eau de parfum, a green and carnal composition where the freshness of angelica slips towards the shadow of leather.

At the top, angelica, bergamot and davana open on a green, intoxicating freshness. The heart pairs leather, narcissus and musks. The base, dark and animalic, brings together tobacco, oud and patchouli. A creation signed by Aliénor Massenet.

What appealed to me was creating a highly contrasted perfume, between the dark facet of the monster and the luminous facet of the god.
There is something profoundly free about the faun; he is deeply alive, instinctive, luminous. There is a joyful, almost insolent sensuality about him.
I loved the idea of a perfume capable of being luminous, yet crossed by a more troubling form of animality.
