Sogno Reale, an extrait de parfum by Mendittorosa (100 ml), gives body to a dream of the sea, caught between flat calm and volcanic fumes.

An iodised marine scent, resinous and animalic

The opening is solar: lemon and bergamot strike against an iodised marine accord, frankly saline. The heart softens the clash with a restrained tuberose and an earthy patchouli. The base is where it turns — volcanic olibanum, warm rum, sandalwood, styrax, amber woods and a measured dose of hyraceum, its fur seemingly drying in the Mediterranean sun.
