South, an eau de parfum by Mendittorosa (100 ml), forms a duo of opposites with North: the Mediterranean answering Scandinavia.

A green floral, milky and woody

The top is sunlit and herbal: Italian bergamot, Egyptian basil and cyclamen. The heart pairs a soft jasmine with syringa — the Philadelphus flower — and a clean-linen accord, odd and instantly recognisable. The base is what makes the perfume singular: Australian and white sandalwood sit alongside green hazelnuts, a bread accord, precious woods, carrot seeds and amyris wood.

Founded in Naples by Stefania Squeglia, the house conceived North and South as a love story between two cultures. The French glass bottles carry caps engraved with geographical coordinates and a metal medallion tied on with natural rope — silvered accents for South.
