Rose de Taif

Rose de Taif is born two thousand metres up, in the south-west of the Arabian peninsula, where in April Taif unfurls an immense basket of roses suspended above the desert. Its dry hillsides give the trigintipetala Damask rose an unrivalled terroir.

Brought to Taif by the Ottomans, come from Persia and perhaps India, this rose holds all that Arab civilisation has understood of love and beauty. Here alone, through the meeting of climate, soil and ancestral know-how, its essential oil reaches an exceptional purity.

For the Black Collection, the house celebrates this eternal symbol by surrounding it with a discreet geranium that never overwhelms it — a reminder that love demands, above all, respect.
