Patchouli Nosy Be by Perris Monte Carlo (50 and 100 ml) tells the story of patchouli's acclimatisation on the island of a thousand scents, eight miles north-west of Madagascar. A spiced woody eau de parfum from the Black Collection, with surprising facets of bitter cocoa.

Lemon and schinus molle open the composition on a peppery freshness. The heart unfolds Nosy Be patchouli, sandalwood and bitter cocoa, before a base of vanilla, labdanum and musk.

Expert tip

A gourmand, warming patchouli, it blossoms in autumn and winter; two sprays on warm points are enough to set its trail. Keep your bottle away from light and heat to preserve the fragrance.
