Essence de Patchouli by Perris Monte Carlo (100 ml) celebrates one of perfumery's most mythical materials: a patchouli essential oil of great purity, given pride of place within the Gold Collection. A deep, enveloping woody-oriental eau de parfum.

The spiced opening pairs clove with almond and rose. The heart unites geranium and patchouli, before a sumptuous base of amber, gaiac wood, sandalwood, vanilla and labdanum.

Expert tip

A fragrance of character, it comes fully into its own in autumn and winter, when cooler air reveals the warmth of its trail. Two sprays are enough. Keep your bottle away from light and heat to preserve the fragrance.
