Mandarino di Sicilia

Mandarino di Sicilia is born in the dense green of the leaves where small mandarins gleam, with the snow-capped cone of Etna as a backdrop. A landscape that seems eternal — and yet the mandarin's story is one of happy migration: that of a Chinese noble of the early 19th century, who came to take root in Sicily.

A complex citrus, the mandarin sees its aromas change throughout its cycle, from flower to ripe fruit. To pay tribute to this gift of Sicilian soil, the house rebuilt its scent from A to Z, using three essential oils: green mandarin, subtle and volatile, the complete essential oil, and yellow mandarin.

For the Italy Collection, Gian Luca Perris thus captures every season of the fruit in a single fragrance: the flower, the green leaf, the almost bitter peel and the sweet pulp, complemented by jasmine, geranium and amber. A smooth, enveloping trail, like a sunny Sicilian day.
