Arancia di Sicilia climbs Etna in the footsteps of the Grand Tour travellers: from the black rocks above, the distant orange groves seem a mirage. The essence of Sicily lies in that light breaking through darkness — the burning red of subterranean flames turned into fragrant fruit.

Blood orange essential oil had never found favour in perfumery, until the encounter with the Capua family, Italy's benchmark for citrus extraction since 1880. Their two-step method — first the rind alone, brown and concentrated, then the whole fruit pressed and centrifuged at full ripeness — captures every facet of the fruit.

For the Italy Collection, this idealisation of a sun-drenched fruit is softened by an almond and cinnamon accord, before a base of labdanum absolute, coffee absolute, iris, musk and amber. An exquisite, sunlit trail — Sicily on a spring morning.
