A carnal vanilla with leathery facets

Perfumer Dominique Ropion blends the precious pod with an armful of white flowers. At the top, pink pepper and violet bring a spicy facet. The heart unfolds a trilogy of tuberose, jasmine and orange blossom, round and carnal. In the base, vanilla is enriched with oak wood, patchouli, benzoin, iris and leather, for an intoxicating sillage with smoky accents.

My intention was to blend the precious pod with an armful of white flowers so that it would gradually express its warm, sensual personality. Vanilla adorns itself with the sulphurous, slightly honeyed tones of tuberose, then becomes intoxicated with the powerful suavity of jasmine, and finally melts into the round, carnal notes of orange blossom. To intensify the trail, I chose to work around oak wood and patchouli notes. - Dominique Ropion
