Orlo

Orlo, an eau de parfum by Mendittorosa (100 ml), forms the second chapter of Versi, the trilogy the house devotes to the dialogue between poetry and perfume.

A metallic floral, citrus and woody

The top is sharp and faintly damp — Italian bergamot oil, Egyptian cumin, fresh cyclamen. The heart turns around an unusual rose: cold, distant, metallic, surrounded by magnolia, orange blossom and a peach that lends no more than a thread of sweetness. The base settles it all on Indian papyrus wood, raw Indonesian patchouli, Virginian cedarwood and cashmeran. Created by Anne-Sophie Behaghel.

Founded in Naples by Stefania Squeglia, the house built Orlo around Sylvia Plath's poem "Edge", published in 1965 — a tribute to those who hold their ground at the brink.
