A resinous, mystical sillage

Reinvented by perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur, Bast opens on the lightly spicy freshness of olibanum essence and cardamom. The heart burns with an almost ritual intensity, led by Greek saffron, incense absolute and cypriol. In the base, myrrh essence and amber set a resinous, protective warmth, guardians of a contemporary incantation.

I created my perfume around incense in overdose: both the essence and the absolute. I pushed the fresh, slightly spicy facet of incense essence by pairing it with cardamom and saffron. And to reinforce the amber, warm and resinous character of incense absolute, I added cypriol at the heart of myrrh essence, and an amber accord. - Sidonie Lancesseur
