Osang, an extrait de parfum by Mendittorosa (100 ml), draws on the Neapolitan miracle of San Gennaro's liquefying blood.

An oriental honeyed scent, resinous and dark

The opening is solar and thick: heliotrope, honey, meadow flowers and a ravenous fenugreek absolute that gives the perfume its signature. The heart darkens — Sichuan pepper, nutmeg, labdanum, iris, sacrificial myrrh, benzoin and styrax form an ashen cloud. The base completes the metamorphosis with sandalwood, amber, oud, incense, Peru balsam and animalic musks.

Founded in Naples by Stefania Squeglia, the house made Osang a talisman of metamorphosis and protection. It credits the creation to Stefania Squeglia and to Naples itself, naming no perfumer. The fragrance was a finalist in the 2018 Art & Olfaction Awards, independent category.
