Perfumer Marie Salamagne plays on contrasts, far from classic sweet vanillas. The opening surprises with a fresh, stellar mineral accord. The heart warms up with mimosa, the “golden flower”, which brings a powdery, solar softness. In the base, a trio of vanillas — Blue, Bourbon and Madagascar — wraps itself in amber woods and musk, while flecks of 24-carat gold dance in the bottle.

Expert tip

Shake the refill gently before spraying to set the gold flakes swirling. The 9 ml format travels easily in hand luggage: slip one refill into your washbag and keep the other two at home, away from light and temperature changes.
