Goutal Paris: the final editions of a house now called Annick Goutal again

A house founded in 1981 by Annick Goutal

A pianist, then a model, who became a perfumer, Annick Goutal opened her first Paris boutique in 1981 and asserted an author's perfumery: emotion before marketing, a perfume whispered rather than proclaimed. Under the Goutal Paris name, the house continued that repertoire while extending it to candles, diffusers and scented care. Her full story is told on the Annick Goutal page.

Why are there two Goutal collections at Soleil d'Or?

It is one and the same house, under two successive names. Founded in 1981 as Annick Goutal, it was renamed Goutal Paris in the late 2010s by its previous owner Amorepacific, before being acquired by the French group Interparfums in March 2025 and recovering its original name. This page gathers the bottles and objects of the Goutal Paris era, offered while stocks last; the current references, in their ribbed bottles brought back into the light, are presented in the Annick Goutal collection.

Goutal Paris candles, gift sets and collector's pieces

This is what makes this page particular: everything the house created beyond perfume. The scented candles Une Forêt d'Or, Rêverie d'Oranger, Bois Cendrés and Une Maison de Campagne, the Une Forêt d'Or paper diffuser, the candle snuffer, the Crème Universelle and the hand balms. The gift sets pair a perfume with a candle and a balm, around Eau d'Hadrien or Petite Chérie. And above all, the Baccarat crystal collector's pieces: Eau d'Hadrien 1999, Eau d'Hadrien 2005, Songes and Les Nuits d'Hadrien — bottles found nowhere else.

The perfumes of the Goutal Paris era

The repertoire remains that of the house's great classics: Sables and its immortelle, Le Temps des Rêves, Le Chèvrefeuille, Folie d'un soir, Encens Flamboyant, Musc Nomade, Ambre Sauvage, Un Matin d'Orage and Rose Pompon. Eau d'Hadrien comes as an eau de toilette, as a feminine and a unisex eau de parfum, and even in an alcohol-free version.

How to choose among the final editions?

These references will not be restocked: they are the last examples of the Goutal Paris era. If you are after a particular bottle, it is best not to wait too long. To explore before choosing, our custom discovery box brings together five 2 mL samples hand-prepared from our catalogue. The candles and gift sets also make excellent presents.

Goutal Paris at Soleil d'Or, a Lille perfumery since 1953

Founded in 1953 by Jeanne Muyllaert on the Grand'Place in Lille, Soleil d'Or is an independent perfumery passed down through the generations. Hubert Maës (third generation) made it a niche perfumery reference; today his daughters Victorine and Apolline Maës (fourth generation) uphold that standard at 22 rue de la Clef, Lille (59800). Our team has known these bottles for years and will tell you which ones are still available.

Frequently asked questions about Goutal Paris perfumes

Are Goutal Paris perfumes still available?

Yes, but while stocks last. Now that the house has recovered its original name, bottles labelled Goutal Paris are no longer restocked: this page gathers the last examples available at Soleil d'Or. The house's current references are presented in the Annick Goutal collection. If you are unsure whether something is still in stock, our team will answer from the Lille boutique.

What is exclusive to the Goutal Paris collection?

Everything the house created beyond perfume, and which you will not find elsewhere: the scented candles Une Forêt d'Or, Rêverie d'Oranger, Bois Cendrés and Une Maison de Campagne, the paper diffuser, the candle snuffer, the Crème Universelle and the hand balms. And above all the Baccarat crystal collector's pieces — Eau d'Hadrien 1999 and 2005, Songes, Les Nuits d'Hadrien — as well as the alcohol-free Eau d'Hadrien.

Which fragrance families does Goutal Paris cover?

The house excels in two registers: citrus scents with Eau d'Hadrien and Le Temps des Rêves, and floral ones with Petite Chérie, Un Matin d'Orage, Rose Pompon and Le Chèvrefeuille. The amber scents bring the depth: Sables and its immortelle, Ambre Sauvage, Encens Flamboyant and Musc Nomade.

Does Goutal Paris offer refillable bottles?

Yes. Several of the house's eaux de parfum come in a refillable version, including Eau d'Hadrien and Petite Chérie. At Soleil d'Or we make a point of stocking refillable formats whenever houses offer them: they are more economical in use and lighter on packaging.

Where should I start with Goutal Paris?

For a first encounter, Eau d'Hadrien is the essential: a fresh, universal citrus worn by women and men alike. For something more floral and poetic, Petite Chérie; for a deeper trail, Sables. Our custom discovery box lets you try five 2 mL samples before choosing.
