The opening is sharp and full of contrast: lemon, bergamot and petitgrain launch a green freshness that ginger immediately spices, before an amber rum accord and a touch of red berries soften it. The heart tips towards the dark — chocolate flower brings its gourmand side, jasmine its narcotic depth, labdanum its resin, cardamom its warmth. The base is where everything happens: Demerara sugar and cinnamon bark coat an accord of musks, held by patchouli, guaiac wood and sandalwood, with that animalic, almost civet-like depth that gives the fragrance its magnetism.
