Un bois vanille

Un bois vanille is one of the most famous vanillas in perfumery: a black, gourmand vanilla, woody and slightly bitter, signed Serge Lutens within the Collection noire.

Caramelised vanilla opens the composition; the heart, creamy, blends coconut milk, licorice, beeswax and tonka bean; the base, drier, reveals smoky guaiac wood, sandalwood and almond, held by a soft musk. A warm, rich, enveloping vanilla.

Composed by Christopher Sheldrake under the direction of Serge Lutens, Un bois vanille is an essential for cool days, worn from autumn to winter.

Expert tip

A Serge Lutens perfume favors, as far as possible, the use of top-quality raw materials of natural origin. They alone guarantee a true evolution of the perfume on the skin. SERGE LUTENS

Serge Lutens, born in 1942 in Lille, is a French artist of many talents: photographer, filmmaker, fashion architect and perfume creator. After early work in hairstyling and make-up, he collaborated with prestigious magazines such as Vogue. In 1980 he began a defining collaboration with Shiseido, shaping the brand's visual identity and launching iconic fragrances such as "Féminité du bois" in 1992. In 2000 he founded his own perfume house, Serge Lutens, offering unique, avant-garde olfactory creations. Deeply influenced by Marrakech, where he acquired a residence in 1974, he draws major inspiration from the city for his fragrances. Today, the Serge Lutens house is recognised for its artistic approach and its commitment to originality and quality.
