The Exploration Patchouli is the woody line from La Closerie des Parfums, a French house founded in 2019 by Valérie Madrid (heir to the Panther Group, established in 1972). The collection takes patchouli, a dense and earthy material, and awakens it with well-travelled spices — Sichuan pepper, pink pepper, cinnamon — in the house's narrative signature style.

The three creations of Exploration Patchouli

Exploration Patchouli brings together Patchouli Sichuan, Zeste Patchouli Baie Rose and Patchouli Cannelle — three compositions in which patchouli is in turn invigorated by Sichuan pepper, paired with citrus zest and pink pepper, or warmed by cinnamon.
