Creed was founded in 1760 in London by James Henry Creed, tailor of the court of King George III. The maison established itself in Paris in 1854 to follow Empress Eugénie, then signed perfumes for the great European royal courts of the 19th century — Queen Victoria, Empress Eugénie, Emperor Franz Joseph. Six generations of the Creed family have perpetuated this heritage to become today the most established reference of luxury niche, with creations like Aventus that have entered contemporary olfactive culture.
