The Zombie Cell Clearing Serum tackles ageing at its biological root. Senescent cells — the so-called zombie cells that no longer divide but keep emitting inflammatory signals — are one of the recognised causes of skin ageing. This serum targets them in order to restart the skin's regenerative potential at depth.

Rhododendron ferrugineum extract, from a plant of poor alpine soils, Camellia sinensis leaf extract as matcha tea, virgin olive oil, yeast-derived bioferments and genistein make up the formula. Redness and wrinkles diminish, collagen production picks up again, elasticity improves.

It is intended for tired, stressed or mature skin, for sensitive skin and for skin prone to redness. For men and women alike, it pairs with the Activator Serum Stem Cells to form the house's complete regeneration ritual.

How to apply

Morning and evening, on a thoroughly cleansed and dried face and neck: place four drops in the palm, spread with smoothing movements, then pat gently to aid absorption. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.

Expert advice: use daily or as an intensive three-month course, particularly during periods of stress, changes of season or visible skin fatigue. For the complete regeneration ritual, keep this serum for the morning — it detoxifies and cuts off the triggers of inflammatory ageing — and the Activator Serum Stem Cells for the evening. Avoid applying to irritated or broken skin, and stop use in the event of redness or discomfort. Store the bottle away from direct light and temperature fluctuations.

Nescens was born in Switzerland out of Professor Jacques Proust's research into the biology of ageing, the skincare extension of the centre for the prevention of ageing he founded in Genolier.
