Encens Flamboyant

Encens Flamboyant pays tribute to an ancestral gesture: that of a resin offered to the flame to release its sacred smoke.

Black pepper crackles in the opening like an ember, before incense resin takes centre stage, brightened by cardamom and nutmeg. The base pairs incense essence with mastic from the Mediterranean maquis and balsam fir, a dense, dark woody material. Camille Goutal and Isabelle Doyen make it a magnetic incense, one that attracts rather than imposes.

Daughter of Annick Goutal, Camille Goutal watches over the spirit of the house as artistic director. With perfumer Isabelle Doyen, she created Rose Pompon, Musc Nomade and Encens Flamboyant, presented at Soleil d'Or.

Annick Goutal

Since 1981, Annick Goutal has embodied Parisian author perfumery, where every creation is born from an emotion or a memory. Founded by an antiques dealer turned perfumer, the Maison tells intimate stories — the Tuscany of Eau d'Hadrien, the tenderness of Petite Chérie — in fluted Art Deco bottles crowned with their signature bow. Relaunched under its original name, it carries on a sincere art of perfume, between noble materials and French elegance.
