The Royale Collection is the heritage line of Houbigant Paris, maison founded in 1775 and official perfumer to the royal courts of Versailles, Russia and the United Kingdom. Five creations that perpetuate this royal heritage and bear witness to the writing of the oldest perfume house in the world, including the historic Fougère Royale (1882) which invented the fougère family.

The Royale Collection brings together Fougère Royale, Bois Mystique, Orangers en Fleurs, Vanille Impériale and Ambre Rubis — five compositions that retrace the great chapters of the maison, from the founding 1882 fougère to contemporary readings of imperial accords.
Fougère Royale (1882), founder of a family
Fougère Royale deserves a special mention: composed in 1882 by Paul Parquet for Houbigant, it is the first perfume to use coumarin synthesised from tonka bean, inventing in one creation the entire fougère family — that of Drakkar Noir, Azzaro Pour Homme, Cool Water and so many others. Wearing Fougère Royale today is touching the founding moment of modern men's perfumery, in a faithful reconstitution by perfumer Roja Dove.
