A French perfumer at the fragrance house TechnicoFlor, where he works from the Dubai creation centre, Théo Monterosso belongs to a new generation for whom composing a perfume is a form of writing. Drawing on abstract expressionism, photography, haute couture and psychology, he conceives each fragrance as an invisible garment that extends the personality of the person wearing it.

For BETENOIR, he created DRAMA, an amber, woody and fruity eau de parfum: mandarin and pineapple in the opening, blackcurrant and saffron at the heart, rose, suede, oud and ambergris in the base. It is the face of the beast that takes the stage, available in 37 and 73 ml.

Between natural and molecular

Rather than clinging to a few favourite materials, Théo Monterosso seeks the right tension between natural ingredients and molecules, while remaining open to surprise. DRAMA belongs to the amber, woody and fruity families, built around saffron, oud and ambergris.

Founded in 1953 by Jeanne Muyllaert on the Grand'Place in Lille, Soleil d'Or is an independent perfumery handed down from generation to generation.
