The Private Collection brings together the rarest creations of Nejma, a French niche house founded in Grasse by Marie-Lise Bischoff. Five fragrances that intimately extend the oriental tale on which the house was founded — in which each creation bears the name of one of the seven daughters of Nejma, the heroine of the tale — in a more intimate and confidential interpretation than the Heritage collection.
The five confidential creations
The Private Collection brings together Le Sublime, Le Délicieux, Le Fabuleux, Le Mystérieux and Le J — five compositions with poetic names (masculine adjectives in French), which take a freer approach to the oriental tale than the Heritage Collection (the seven numbered daughters).
A free interpretation of the tale
The Private Collection cultivates an authorial approach — whereas Heritage follows the strict storyline of the tale (the seven daughters), the Private Collection plays with grammar, using adjectives (“Le Sublime”) and enigmatic labels (“Le J”). An approach that turns the collection into the margins of the official tale, aimed at connoisseurs already familiar with the world of Nejma. All the creations remain true to the house's French oriental signature — oud, spices, flowers.
