LOOSE POWDER TRANSLUCIDE

The Loose Powder Translucide carries on a craft Caron has cultivated since 1904: a powder milled so finely that it settles on the skin without ever showing. Professional make-up artists use it to set make-up; it can just as well be worn alone, on bare skin.

Its Sheer formula rests on soft powders — zinc stearate, magnesium myristate — and on diisopropyl sebacate, which give it a particularly comfortable glide. The finish is natural, the complexion evened without being covered. It suits dry and sensitive skin.

Like every powder in the house, it is scented with Bulgarian rose — Ernest Daltroff's favourite flower — and contains no preservatives. The shade is chosen as close as possible to your complexion: our advisers will help you fine-tune it in the Lille boutique.

Place the sifter over the powder, pick the powder up with the Caron puff, then apply with light pressing motions across the whole face, starting from the centre. Sweep away any excess with a kabuki brush. For a lighter veil, work directly with the kabuki.

Expert advice: apply the powder to cleansed skin, on its own or over a day cream or a foundation, letting the skincare sink in before you powder — this is what prevents visible lines. Always close the case after use and keep it away from humidity and direct light.
