Discover our shipping conditions for your luxury fragrance orders. Whether you are in France, Europe, or elsewhere in the world, we offer reliable, carefully handled, and fully trackable deliveries via Colissimo and FedEx.

Shipping origin: all orders are shipped from France.

Delivery of your order

Parcels are generally shipped within 48 business hours (Monday to Friday) after payment is received, outside of peak periods. All shipments are sent via "Colissimo tracked with signature" to every destination. Depending on the destination, a FedEx option may also be offered. Whichever shipping method is used, you will receive a tracking link as soon as your parcel is on its way.

Our mission: to offer you a delivery experience that is as refined as it is reliable and fast.

Shipping fees include packaging, handling, and postal costs. They may include a fixed portion and a variable portion depending on the price or weight of your order. We recommend grouping your items into a single order, as we cannot merge several separate orders: shipping fees will apply to each one. All parcels are oversized and carefully protected. The risk of loss or damage is transferred to the customer at the time the parcel is handed over to the carrier, in accordance with applicable provisions.

Shipping fees vary according to your destination and the products ordered. The lead times below are indicative and expressed in business days (from the date of dispatch), excluding any customs inspections.

Lead times are indicative and expressed in business days. We cannot guarantee strict adherence to these estimates.

International deliveries and customs duties

All of our international shipments are made under the DAP (Delivered At Place) Incoterm. We deliver to the address indicated, but any customs duties, local taxes, handling fees, and clearance fees that may be required upon import are the sole responsibility of the Consumer or recipient of the order, in addition to the order amount and shipping fees. These charges are entirely their responsibility, both in terms of declaration and payment to the competent authorities and bodies of their country.

These charges are not included in our prices or in the shipping rates displayed. They may be claimed by customs authorities and/or the carrier before delivery or upon receipt. Please note: certain territories sometimes associated with Europe may be treated as imports (VAT/customs) depending on their status.

As these charges may vary depending on the country of delivery, we invite the Consumer to inquire with local customs authorities prior to placing any order.

By validating the order, the Consumer acknowledges and accepts the customs obligations applicable in the country of destination. Customs duties and import fees do not constitute valid grounds for a dispute, chargeback, or cancellation after shipment.

Soleil d'Or retains all customs documents and shipping proofs, which may be provided in the event of a dispute.

Indicative import thresholds (by destination)

Import rules vary by country and are subject to change. The thresholds below are provided for information purposes only: customs authorities and/or the carrier may apply duties, taxes, and handling fees depending on the declared value, the nature of the products, the country, and the shipping method (postal or express).

1) European Union (intra-EU deliveries)

For deliveries within the European Union, there are generally no customs duties upon arrival.
⚠️ Some territories listed on this page may be outside the VAT area / Customs Union and may be treated as imports, with taxes/fees due upon arrival (e.g. Guernsey, Jersey, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Åland Islands, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Svalbard and Jan Mayen).

French Overseas Territories

Depending on the territory, local taxes (e.g. octroi de mer) and fees may apply upon arrival.

2) United Kingdom

  • ≤ £135 (per shipment): generally no customs duties; VAT is typically collected at the time of purchase (with exceptions, notably for products subject to excise duties).
  • > £135: import duties and VAT may be charged.

3) United States

Following the suspension of the $800 de minimis exemption (Section 321), in effect since August 29, 2025, import rules for the United States have changed significantly:

Taxation from the first dollar: there is no longer a minimum threshold. Every parcel is now systematically taxed by U.S. Customs, regardless of its value.

End of the flat tariff: since March 1, 2026, duties are calculated based on the actual value and product category (ad valorem taxation).

DAP shipment: your order is shipped tax-free. As the importer, you will need to pay the customs duties as well as administrative handling fees (brokerage fees) directly to the carrier (FedEx or Colissimo) before or at the time of delivery. These processing fees are beyond our control and are required to release your parcel from customs.

4) Canada (shipments from France)

For imports into Canada shipped from a country other than the United States and Mexico, the "low-value shipments" exemption is generally:

  • ≤ CAD 20: the shipment may be exempt from duties and taxes;
  • > CAD 20: duties and taxes may apply, depending on the nature of the products and the shipping method.

5) Switzerland & Liechtenstein

In Switzerland, import VAT is generally not collected when the calculated VAT is less than CHF 5. Above that threshold, VAT and clearance fees may apply.

6) Norway

Depending on the value and customs treatment, VAT may be charged upon import, along with fees. For certain goods below a given threshold, VAT may be collected at the time of purchase if the seller is registered under the applicable local scheme; otherwise, it is generally paid upon arrival.

7) Australia

For low-value shipments (often ≤ AUD 1,000), the local tax may be collected at the time of purchase in certain cases; above this threshold, taxes and fees may be charged upon import.

8) New Zealand

For low-value shipments (often ≤ NZD 1,000), the local tax may be collected at the time of purchase in certain cases; above this threshold, taxes and fees may be charged upon import.

9) Other international destinations

Many countries may apply taxes and/or duties from the first euro, without a simple or universal threshold. The carrier may also charge customs presentation fees.

Customs duties / import fees: recipient's responsibility

Customs duties, local taxes, and clearance fees required upon import are the sole responsibility of the Consumer or recipient. They are entirely their responsibility, both in terms of declaration and payment to the competent authorities.

In the event of refusal to pay these amounts, no return will be organized by Soleil d'Or. The parcel may, in accordance with the rules of the carrier and/or the competent authorities, be abandoned or destroyed. Destruction fees will remain the responsibility of the Consumer, and no refund may be issued.

Soleil d'Or retains all customs documents, shipping proofs, and delivery confirmations for each order. These documents may be provided to any competent body in the event of a dispute or chargeback procedure.

  • Lead times are provided for information purposes only and may vary depending on the time of year or the destination.
  • For certain destinations, Colissimo relies on a partner carrier/postal service for local delivery (e.g. Deutsche Post, Austrian Post, Poste Italiane, bpost, Post Luxembourg).
  • Tracking may display stages with the local partner, and, depending on the country, a local tracking number may be assigned.
  • Delivery methods (signature, mailbox, pickup point) may vary according to local delivery rules and the situation at delivery (e.g. recipient absent).
  • Some destinations may require additional inspections.
