La Fille de Berlin by Serge Lutens: Its inspiration
The creation of "La Fille de Berlin", like all the perfumes of Serge Lutens, is very personal and therefore linked to some episodes of his life. It reflects the vision of the Berlin Serge Lutens of 20-30 year s. Serge Lutens and La Fille de Berlin have a common past.
La Fille de Berlin is a complex fragrance that has nothing to do with a vase. This fragrance is built around the rose. Hard to describe, this fragrance opens with spicy notes and slightly fruity to evolve a very pink floral heart. This rose is a pure invention, a thorny rose, furious, spicy. The bottom becomes more wooded, almost chypre, also with faceted amber. Serge Lutens even quotes about his creation:
"This is a magnificent flower made of blood, night, snow and glory. It's a stunning pink. Its violence is its beauty."
Inspired by the German Impressionism, the designer has imagined a dark red juice that pays tribute to a femme fatale who blows hot and cold. Despite its name, La Fille de Berlin is a unisex fragrance.
