The former instantly invigorates, its freshness electrifying the skin. At the same time, the "earthy" facet of vetiver reveals itself, refined, comforting and sensual. A trail further enhanced by a base of ambergris and dry woods, for long-lasting wear.

The inspiration behind PERSEUS
PERSEUS evokes the dawn at the royal residence of Marly, when the first rays of sunlight awaken the château, warm its gardens and make its fountains sparkle. This fragrance, as bright as the morning sun, highlights the fresh, energizing scent of citrus.
This fragrance was inspired by the invigorating scents discovered by the French royal court in the 18th century. At that time, citrus fruits were grown in the French king's castles, in buildings called "orangeries", specially designed to keep them warm during the winter. Citrus fruits were used to make perfumes, which were also considered a real energy booster. They were fresh, but not long-lasting. For PERSEUS, our Artistic Director Julien Sprecher wanted to revisit the tradition of these fragrances with an original composition, and the performance that characterizes Parfums de Marly (tenue/lasting).
