In his classic novel In Search of Lost Time, the writer Marcel Proust showed how a smell or a taste can make you fall back into childhood. For Proust, it was a little madeleine. For Olivier and Anaïs Cresp, it was the lemon cupcakes at Crumbs & Dollies on Carnaby Street.
