Here, the sea has brought different peoples, mixing languages, colors of clothes and customs. Patchouli is also a newcomer. The island has welcomed it and enriched it with its thousand other scents." In Nosy Be, 8 miles northwest of Madagascar, captivating scents permeate the air of the island, which announces itself to the traveler with the intense perfume of Ylang Ylang flowers. It is in the shade of this protective plant that the wonderful story of Patchouli begins in Nosy Be. Cultivated in India, Malaysia and Burma, Patchouli blooms in the undergrowth and fears the sun. It has acclimatized perfectly in the thick vegetation of Nosy Be, in particular thanks to the growers who love and respect their land. Nature has rewarded them: Nosy Be Patchouli is simply fabulous, with notes of Bitter Cocoa and Sandalwood.
