Philippe Neirinck, the master perfumer, wanted to take us on a magnificent journey back in time to the heart of the Roaring Twenties: he wanted to pay tribute, through this new fragrance, to an era full of ambitions, joie de vivre and carefreeness. Here, the creator opened the doors of a famous palace in the south of France bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Les Années Folles by La Parfumerie Moderne therefore combines timeless elegance with the madness and captivating rhythm of the 1920s.

We are located in time at the heart ofRoaring Twentiesand I decide to spend a night in a famous luxury palace in Cannes, in the south of France, in order to discover for one night a world of luxury and partying. With a simple baggage in hand and a fringed dress, I get out of my Ford convertible and head towards the marble steps, adorned with a red carpet. A young man opens the front door for me, and immediately I savor a delicious scent of lavender that perfumes this immense reception room and reminds me of the lavender fields typical of the region. At the counter, I am given the key to my room and I immerse myself in this atmosphere of prestige and elegance with notes of thyme essence and nutmeg.

A woman accompanies me to my suite, I settle in and head into the living room, where a magnificent bouquet of lavender adorns an oak table. Night falls gently and being alone, I wanted to admire the sunset with a view of the sea. So I lean gently over my balcony and notice that a planter of geranium and vetiver is installed there... As usual, I get ready to go to a party and spend a wild night, dancing the Charleston until dawn with a charming stranger on carefree notes of patchouli that mixes with the crowd of tonka and resinoid benzoin with once again, this lavender that remains anchored in my memory, likeThe Roaring Twenties of Modern Perfumery
